Taylor Crisologo, Founder
Taylor graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She is passionate about biology (particularly birds!), which led her to conduct studies with birds in different reaches of the world. Her work resulted in the publication of 3 peer-reviewed scientific papers, with more in the works. Her writing has also been featured on the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s NestWatch page, the Golden Gate Audubon Society Blog, and The Q.
Her love for science education inspired her to start Bay Area Naturalist as a resource for other Bay Area natives to discover their passion for biology right in their backyards. When she’s not researching great places to experience Bay Area nature, you can find her birding or reading a book at home with her fiancé Dan and their two cats (Max and Penelope).
